Our team

  • Rennie Morrell, Program Manager

    Team Leader. Responsible for administrative oversight and working with all team members to assure mission needs are met. Submits and tracks grant and budget requirements.

  • Tom Gonsiewski, Director of Operations

    Oversees STARS Operations to ensure all Operations run smoothly.

  • John Finley, Driver Manager

    Manages volunteer driver program. Guides driver training and recruitment, maintains volunteer records. Develops and implements guidance for driver vetting, passenger waivers, health protocols and other issues affecting driver safety.

  • Annie Marland, Passenger Relations

    Responsible for passenger outreach helping STARS stay connected to passenger needs. Communicates with passengers and keeps other team managers informed as needed.

  • Lauren Beyerinck, Permissions Manager

    Oversees drivers license and insurance expiration ensuring drivers’ records remain valid. Monitors volunteer applications, welcomes prospective volunteers when applications received. Primary assistant to Driver Manager.

  • Karen Thrower, Dispatcher Manager

    Recruits, trains, and schedules dispatchers. Manages dispatcher guidance and compliance to ensure volunteer drivers and their passengers are supported. Primary contact for all Dispatchers.



  • Software Programs Manager

    Oversees online ride scheduling software and Action Team Workspace. Trains drivers on how to use software. The primary contact for technical issues.


  • Mike Deal/Peggy Tehan, AFSC Liaisons

    Provides communication and assistance with AFSC Board of Directors and Grantors. Attends STARS monthly team meetings. Provides AFSC up to date information on STARS Action Team initiatives.
